Launching a Milking Upgrade

As part of our efforts to consistently improve facilities for both cow comfort and healthful milk output, recently we updated our older milking robots in the barn’s milking facility with new Lely A5 Astronaut milkers. The Astronaut provides each cow freedom to decide when she wants to be milked during the day, and dispenses the correct amount of feed that each individual cow needs based on her current milk production levels. A cow can enter the robot easily when she wants, and her unique profile stored in the computer allows the milking tubes to attach to her udder specifications for comfort and cleanliness.
